SKRK, being in the high risk field, considers employee safety to be the first one in the priority list. Hence carries genuine care and concern for the safety, health, and well-being of the employees, customers, and the public. Therefore, we impose all employees to assist in maintaining a work environment that is free from the use and effects of alcohol and prohibited drugs. This is enforced by the practices of pre-hire physical exams, which includes mandatory drug testing, return-to-work testing, random testing, and reasonable cause testing.

In order to maintain this safe working atmosphere, we have implemented many programs to keep safety to be number one in everyone’s mind. We have an employee safety handbook composed to direct and control the activities of all employees in order to prevent injuries, accidents, fires, and explosions. Required periodic meetings are held in the head-office, in order to maintain safety certificates, discuss safety issues, and remind each one of the dangers in this profession. From this meeting, the superintendents carry information into their DAILY SAFETY MEETINGS while on the job site. This high level of communication leads to greater awareness with all the employees, even when they are in the site.

Safety is our top priority.  We implement a formal accident prevention program at each project to create and maintain a safe work atmosphere.  As a result, our average EMR (Emergency Modification rate) consistently falls between 0.55 and 0.65.  This is among the lowest EMRs in the industry and attests to our understanding of the importance of safety and reliability to the successful completion of customer projects.

Today’s rapidly changing technology demands SKRK to renew skills and knowledge, to improve and expand the capabilities and service to customers.  The work force is constantly given training on new products, technology and methods, provides hands-on demonstrations and promotes one-on-one communication with vendors whose products, we use.
